Several Villagers in collaboration with the parish council have setup a playground fund to raise money for new playground equipment for the village.
Our existing equipment is very old and with only a slide now the children within the village have very little choice.

We have organized several fund raising events which include:

  • Christmas Raffle
  • Children's Disco's
  • Body Shop Parties
  • Candle Parties
  • Village Fun Day's
With help from Playdale Playgrounds we have designed a new playground layout. The total cost of the new equipment is £25,562.
The new equipment would include the following:
Adventure Trail :- Variety of play items linked to provide a testing circuit of movement, balance and agility with safe but exciting play.
Features:
  • Balance Beam, Balance Walk, Chain Walk, Balance Beam - two sloping Balance Beams with flat tops and foot grip, Round Pole Balance Walk Chain Walk with parallel chains.
  • Log Walks - upright stepping logs to link items, 200mm diameter with foot grip.
  • Swinging Steps, Tram Tracks - four stepping logs, suspended by chain, with bottom chain link to prevent logs creating a trap point, cross over Chain Walk with low centre of gravity.
  • Burma Bridge - Chain walkway suspended between two timber access frames, chain handgrips and lower walking chain.
  • Wobble Board - moving walkway secured on two steel springs
Junior Swing :
  • Strong robust timber frame.
  • Galvanised Swing Bracket with hard wearing Bushes.
  • Sheradised Chains and two rubber Flat Seats.
Jupiter:
  • 1.2m diameter circular platform with textured surface for grip.
  • Supported on four steel springs.
  • Four angled handles allow for easy grip by users, are angled from the outer rim of the unit to meet at the centre of the platform.
Cradle Swing:
  • Strong robust timber frame.
  • Galvanised Swing Bracket with hard wearing Bushes.
  • Sheradised Chains and two rubber Cradle Seats.
Butterfly Mini Seesaw:
  • Butterfly body shape from 15mm solid coloured polyethylene with foot rests and handles.
  • 18mm Flexible Springs.
  • Coloured caps to cover fixings.
Jukebox Selection:
  • Triangular Tower with platform height of 1.5m.
  • 1.5m Slide, 1.5m Scramble Net and 1.5m Climbing Wall.
  • Triangular Roof.
  • Coloured Panels from hard wearing and vandal resistant compact grade laminate
